var title="A Celebration of Love";
var writer="By: ANNA ALQUIROS<BR>March 15, 2001<BR>Pennsylvania, USA";
var a_par=new Array;

a_par[1]="Every year, the CFC community celebrates Valentines Day. It is the day when couples renew their vows and affirm the love that they have for each other as they commit their lives together. It is a celebration of love  a night for our Lord with our loved ones.";

a_par[2]="This year, the Singles Ministry of CFC organized the event. The celebration started with an opening prayer led by our Area Head  Lem de Guzman with songs of praise and worship provided by the Music Ministry. It was a wonderful experience to be with the whole assembly in giving glory to God as our praises echoed over the room and reached God's throne in heaven. The place and all the people were blessed by the presence of the Lord. The prayer ended with the blessing of the food and everyone was treated to delicious and satisfying varieties of food. ";

a_par[3]='The ladies were then invited to the dance floor as our DJ (Tito Ed) taught dance steps that were very easy and fun. Then the lights were dimmed and the song stopped. And as Cay sang the song "I Cherish The Treasure", there came the gentlemen with a rose in their hands as they approached their wives - they embraced them, kissed them and loved them all the more. One could feel that love is really in the air. This whole romantic event followed the renewal of vows led by Fr. Efren Esmilla. As the words were spoken, each couple faced each other and declared their love and commitment as they came before the Lord and asked Him for help and guidance in keeping their marriage alive and their family in union with God. You can just imagine how everyone must have felt, especially the ladies - with the flowers, the song, the atmosphere and the all the wonderful feelings surrounding them - I can say they will be more in love with their partner. I am!';

a_par[4]='Of course, the fun and excitement did not end there. That was just the beginning! SFC prepared games that brought a lot of enjoyment to all. There was some teasing as each couple that participated in the game "How well do you know your spouse?", tried to remember things about each other. Unfortunately, my husband and I were not chosen for this game. Maybe the host knew that we practiced -'+ " but I don't think that we could have won because none of the questions we talked about was asked.";

a_par[5]="I can say that everyone had a great time and is looking forward to the next year's celebration. What a wonderful experience it is to love, be loved and celebrate this love with the Lord our God. May God bless us all!";

var title="A Christmas Treat for All";
var a_par=new Array;

a_par[1]="Christmas is in everyone’s heart.  It is the day that commemorates the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.  It is a season filled with love, joy, happiness and peace.  Families and friends get together to share this wonderful occasion with one another as they give thanks and honor to God.";

a_par[2]="We at CFC celebrate Christmas every year.  All the members of the community gather together as one family of God.  The recently concluded Christmas party showed that the spirit of Christmas is truly present in each one of us. The household of Cesar and Anna Alquiros was assigned to handle the event.  Being a part of this household, I felt the love and support within the group as everyone worked hard to make the celebration a successful one.  Members of other households offered help and assistance in some areas too.  Everyone participated in the Christmas program as each household agreed to do a presentation.  It was amazing how unique and creative they could be!";

a_par[3]='As in any CFC event, the celebration started with an opening prayer.  Our Area Head, Lem de Guzman led the group prayer while the Music Ministry inspired everyone to vocally express their praise and thanksgiving to the Lord.  Christmas carols were sung together with the praise songs that filled room with the spirit of Christmas as all of us experienced the presence of God.';

a_par[4]='The members of SFC of PA and DE opened up the stage with their performance of “I Will Follow Him”.  This was the same one that they presented during the last SFC Conference.  After that, there was a break.  Everyone was invited to the blessing of the food and all shared the sumptuous meal that was served.';

a_par[5]='The household of Ernie and Angie Alfonso followed the SFC group.  They had a dance interpretation of the song “God Is Good, All The Time”.   As one could see, there has been a dazzling display of talents in singing and dancing, but what about acting?  Well, do you know the story of Ebenezer Scrooge?  The group of Cesar and Anna Alquiros gave life to its characters as they narrated story of Scrooge.  Following this was the household of Lem & Jinky de Guzman who did a combination of Britney Spears and Hagibis dance number.   Ces and Belle Rivera’s household also danced to the tune of Mambo #5, while Mike and Grace Brillante’s group presented their own version of “The Wiggles of Christmas” dance.  Last, but not the least, the household of Art and Marivic Andaya told the story of Joshua.  It was very entertaining to watch the children acted out their part of the play. ';

a_par[6]='In between presentations, various games were played.  Some of these were the Apple Eating contest and Trip to Jerusalem wherein dads carried their children on their shoulders as they tried to grab a seat and stayed on the game.  Gifts were also distributed among the children and adults.  Santa Claus came by too.';

a_par[7]='It was really fun!  Everyone had a great time. It is indeed a Christmas treat for all!';
